Dec 6 - CA Assembly Speaker Honored for Environmental Leadership

Californians Against Waste joined with other state and national environmental groups to honor California Assembly Speaker Fabian Núñez for his environmental leadership in co-authoring Assembly Bill 32, California's landmark legislation to curb Greenhouse Gas Emissions.

Speaker Núñez will was received the Natural Resources Council of America's Award of Honor today in Washington, D.C. for this authorship and passage of the most extensive climate change legislation in the country. The bill has already started shaping federal and international efforts to combat global climate change.
