Oct 27- California Joins States that Require Recycling of Old Mercury Thermostats

California and Pennsylvania have recently joined four other States that require the recycling of spent mercury thermostats, reports Environmental Protection. Scott Cassel executive director of The Product Stewardship Institute writes:

Mercury is one of the biggest health hazards found in everyday household products, and the proper recycling of these products is essential to protecting the environment.
