Oct 19 - Environmental Groups Continue to Slam Schwarzenegger for Rejecting Environmental Bills

In their newsletter today, the Planning and Conservation League joined other environmental groups in critizing the Governor's recent end-of-session actions on environmental issues. The Planning and Conservation League was particulary critical of the Governor's vetoes of comprehensive renewable energy legislation and bills to protect state parks and guarantee access to water.

PCL's newsletter also said that "Governor Schwarzenegger's green legacy was significantly battered by his veto pen this year as he rejected most of the top environmental bills on his desk, measures aimed at improving the quality of life for all Californians and boosting our economy through the creation of local and sustainable green jobs."
