May 20 - Doors Co-Founder and CAW Supporter Ray Manzarek Dead at 74
Ray Manzarek, who co-founded The Doors with Jim Morrison, passed away today at the age of 74, after a lengthy battle with cancer.
The Doors' keyboard player, Ray Manzarek created some of rock & roll’s most memorable songs along with his band-mates; he was also an environmentalist and member of CAW.
"Ray has been a long-time supporter of Californians Against Waste—for more than two decades," said Mark Murray, CAW Executive Director. "His contributions to music, art and the environment have been greatly appreciated. He will be missed."
Send condolences to his family and share your Doors memories on the band’s Facebook page.
