Jun 14 - Free E-Waste Drop Off/Pick Up for Bay Area

It is estimated that over 6 million computers become obsolete in California everyday. And the majority of people who need to recycle a computer or electronic device still aren’t sure what do with it. However, since the passage of SB 20 in 2003, over 400 e-waste collection locations have been established for California residents to utilize for e-waste drop off. All state authorized collectors are required to have at least one free drop off event per year, but if you miss that event, will most likely incur a fee for disposing your electronics. E.L.M.A.R.S. is a recently authorized collector who is offering free drop off and pick up to Bay Area residents.

Environmental Logistic Management & Asset Recovery Solutions (E.L.M.A.R.S.), a state authorized e-waste collector, is having their first “E.L.M.A.R.S. Opens the Door” event.

E.L.M.A.R.S. is open to the public Monday thru Friday from 9am – 6pm and offers free computer and electronic equipment drop off as well as pickup services for all Bay Area individuals and businesses.

Drop off is free, and for pick ups, E.L.M.A.R.S. will pickup 5 or more  items within the Greater Bay Area also no cost.

Items can also be dropped off at E.L.M.A.R.S.’s new location:
