May 22 - Hong Kong to Levy Fee on Bags

Hong Kong has announced that it plans to phase in a 50 Hong Kong Cent fee on plastic bags sold in the region. According to a government press release over eight billion plastic shopping bags are disposed of at Honh Kong landfills annually, which equates to more than three bags a person daily.
