Jun 1 - SF Polystyrene Ban Goes into Effect

San Francisco's ordinance banning the use of foamed polystyrene takeout food packaging in all of the city's 3,400 restaurants goes into effect today. Foamed polystyrene is a principle component of marine debris as it is easily blown by the wind and floats. It is also nonrecyclable.
