Ireland is considering levying a fee on fast food and chewing gum that would be used to fund the clean up costs incurred by local governments associated with these products, reports the Ireland Independent. The fees would be modeled after Ireland successful tax on plastic bags, which as reduced plastic bag use in Ireland by 90%.
