Sept 11 - Bill to Phase out Toxics in Electronics Heads to Governor

AB 48 by Assemblymember Saldaña passed the full Senate and the Assembly on Senate amendments today and now heads to the Governor's desk for approval. The bill would phase out the use of specified hazardous materials, including non-essential mercury, cadmium, lead or hexavalent chromium in consumer electronics, consistent with European Union ROHs Directive.
