Mark Schapiro, writes in his new book, Exposed: The Toxic Chemistry of Everyday Products and What's at Stake for American Power, about how Europe is on the fast track of setting higher safety and environmental standards for consumer products, while the U.S. lags far behind. The book also discussed how the U.S. economy will be adversely impacted because of the lack of laws regulating chemicals in everyday products.

Schapiro was the featured guest on KQED's Forum. Listen to the interview here.
