Jun 4 - Return of New York Recycling a Money-Saver for City

Within the next five to six years the New York City Department of Sanitation will be paying less for recycling than trash disposal. The article, written by the Natural Resources Defence Council, explains that as export costs rise and as markets for recyclables develop the cost of the city's curbside recycling program will decrease. As it stands now, New York pays nearly as much for trash disposal as it does for recycling.
