Dec 5 - Governor Appoints CAW Legislator of the Year to Waste Board

Governor Schwarzenegger has selected Senator Carole Migden as his appointment to the Integrated Waste Management Board. Migden, who was CAW's 2002 Legislator of the Year, has made solid waste and recycling issues a priority throughout her time in the Assembly and Senate, authoring, among other pieces of legislation, bills on CFL recycling and plastic container recycling. Migden has a strong environmental record and, along with incoming legislators Sheila Kuehl and John Laird, will bring a considerable amount of solid waste policy experience to the Board.
