Jun 2 - 75% Recycling Bills Advance

Seperate bills to establish a statewide 75% waste reduction and recycling goal passed off both the State Assembly and State Senate floors today.

AB 479 (Chesbro) and SB 25 (Padilla) received the bare minimum number of votes for passage (41 and 21 respectively).

The bills will now move to the policy committee in the other house (Senate Environmental Quality Committee and Assembly Natural Resources Committee, respectively).
