Aug 18 - CA Sierra Club Names New Director
Today, Sierra Club California named their new Director, Kathryn Phillips, a long time veteran in environmental advocacy. With Phillips' proven dedication to environmental conservation shown through her past experience, CAW is pleased to support her appointment.
According to Sierra Club’s press release, "Kathryn, who has been based in Sacramento for the last ten years, has directed transportation and air pollution work in California for Environmental Defense Fund, and has worked on both state and federal transportation policy. She has also had experience in agriculture policy and water policy. Before joining EDF, she worked for the Center for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Technologies led by V. John White, who was a long-time Sierra Club California contract lobbyist."
Philips begins her term August 22nd.
