Feb 21 - Update: Alameda City Remains Opted-In for Bag Ordinance
According to a blog on the San Francisco Chronicle, Alameda City staff decided to stay opted-in with the Alameda County Waste Management Authority (StopWaste.org) single-use bag ordinance. They pulled the item from this evening's City Council agenda after determining that there should be enough time for outreach prior to implementation.
No word yet on whether or not the City will stay opted-in on the mandatory recycling ordinance as well. Read more in this morning's blog.
