Sept 25 - UPDATE: Santa Cruz Co Says No to Plastic Bags in Restaurants

Earlier this afternoon the Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisors voted on amending the existing bag ordinance to include restaurants. See yesterday's blog for more information.

We are happy to report that the Board has approved the first reading of the new ordinance.

A second reading is scheduled for October 16 and, once adopted, the expanded ordinance will go into effect in unincorporated County restaurants starting on Earth Day (April 22, 2013).
