Oct 3 - San Rafael is Latest to Adopt Food Packaging Ordinance
San Rafael joins the growing list of CA jurisdictions taking action against polystyrene pollution. More than sixty local ordinances have been passed in our state.
The City adopted its food packaging ordinance on Monday evening after giving initial approval in September. Starting October 31, 2013, restaurants and other food vendors are prohibited from using and distributing prepared food and drinks in foam polystyrene containers.
