July 31 - Local Governments Invited to Complete Compostable Plastics Survey

San Jose, in partnership with Gaithersberg, MD, and Ashville, NC, is conducting an online survey on compostable plastics. It focuses on the issues municipalities are facing in dealing with the growing number of these products finding their way into the waste stream.

The results of the survey will be used to create a "toolkit" for dealing with compostable plastics in curbside collection, composting facilities and recycling centers.

Local governments are invited to participate in the online survey. The deadline has been extended to August 7 COB.
