Erica Parker, Policy Associate (she/her)
Erica’s journey into environmental advocacy began with a solid foundation in science. After earning her B.S. in Chemistry, and her minor in Mathematics, from CSU Sacramento, she gained hands-on experience as an environmental chemist and quality assurance specialist. This early experience sparked her passion for environmental stewardship and fueled her desire to effect change through policy.
Currently pursuing a graduate degree in Environmental Policy and Management at the UC Davis, Erica is focusing on Sustainable Food Systems, Agriculture, and the Policy Process. Her academic and professional focus aligns perfectly with her work as a Policy Associate, where she advocates for policies addressing key environmental challenges related to organics recycling, food waste, landfills, and climate change.
Outside of her professional life, Erica finds balance and inspiration through a variety of hobbies. Whether slacklining in Sacramento’s vibrant parks, savoring science fiction at a local café, baking vegan treats, or cycling around Midtown, she is always exploring new ways to enjoy and connect with the world around her.
