Chloe Brown, Communications Associate (she/her)
Chloe graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor's in Marine Science. The scientific method will forever have a place in her heart, and she has found her true passion in environmental advocacy. Fueled by her desire to inspire action for our environment, she expanded upon her science background to become an educator for all ages. Chloe founded her own science communication social media initiative, Openoceanminded to communicate about the plastic pollution crisis. Chloe aims to blend art, science, policy, and environmental justice to motivate action.
Before joining Californians Against Waste, Chloe interned at the Monterey Bay Aquarium where she examined how to engage California Latinxs in ocean advocacy. Chloe has previously worked on the plastic pollution crisis by assisting Break Free From Plastic in international efforts to reduce plastic production.
As a Communications Associate with CAW, Chloe manages CAW's online presence including our website and social media. Chloe also tracks local plastics policy and is a member of several coalitions advocating for reuse.
When Chloe isn’t crafting content, she’s likely enjoying the little things, like perfecting her newest recipe, exploring local thrift shops or cuddled up with her rescue dog Eva Luna.
