Jun 28 - Bag Ban Bill Passes Out of Senate CommitteeSubmitted by Recycling News on June 28, 2010 - 15:58.
AB 1998, which would reduce plastic litter pollution by banning plastic bags at grocery stores, pharmacies and convenience stores, passed out of the Senate Environmental Quality Committee with a 5-2 vote. The bill now goes to the Senate Appropriations Committee.
