Jul 17 - McStyrofoam is Back! (AM NY)

AB 2505 has been placed on the Senate Appropriations suspense file.

The bill has recently been amended to phase out PVC packaging over several years, beginning with soft PVC in 2013 and ending with rigid PVC in 2015.  The amendments resulted in the removal of the Retailers Assocation from the opposition.

The Seattle city council will vote this month on an ordinance that would put a 20 cent fee on paper and plastic bags.

The ordinance would also ban foamed polystyrene takeout containers.
